15 month check-up!

I just had my 15 month check up today and here are the results:  31 inches tall, 22 pounds (although mommy would think me a lot heavier), and around 19 inches for head size (continuing to be over 100th percentile for head size)!!!!  I also had to get 3 shots, which I really did not like, as well as my TB test, which has to get checked out on Monday morning.  Fingers crossed for a negative result!!!  I was a trooper as usual for my shots, but did cry a bit.  But even after getting the 4 shots, I still waved goodbye to the nurse (who gave me the shots) and said, in a very chipper voice, "Bye!"  The nurse said that this made her feel much better and made her day that I was so friendly even after she stabbed me so many times with needles.  The doctor said I am doing great, although he encouraged me to switch to a cup for drinking milk, instead of a bottle.  We will see if this is successful -- it hasn't been thus far....  The doctor was also impressed that I know over 30 words, which he said was very advance for my age!!!!  Yay for me!!!

My worldwide tour!!

Happy birthday to daddy!!
Now my worldwide tour to visit my great grandparents and grandparents is complete!!!!  Can you believe that I have now meet and visited all my great grandparents (in China and England), and visited all my grandparents (in England, Los Angeles, and Boston) all in the span of 6 months????  Yes, it is true!!!  But I am totally pooped.  I have gotten a cold since being in England -- it was very cold and wet there -- but we just got back yesterday and I hope to get back in the swing of things soon.  I had thought that I might stop blogging -- it is so much work you see -- but heard so much about how great the blog is over the last 6 months that I have been guilt-tripped into posting some more.  At the very least, I will put up some pictures from recent days.

I was a wonderful trooper for this last trip to England.  I was very busy on the flights, as usual, but otherwise quite well behaved.  But I did keep mommy and daddy quite busy.  I have a very extensive vocabulary now and can pick up new words after just being told once or twice.  I have also learned to blow on my food before I eat it when it is hot!!  Here are some of the things that I can say:
1.  that one (to refer to things)
2.  this
3.  applesauce
4.  milk (but sounds like mulch or milt depending on the day)
5.  is there
I am also great with names and can rattle off the names of all my friends at school!  I also call mommy "mommy" now instead of just momma.  Yay for me.

Phun in Philly!

Me and Sue.  I was distracted by the geese to my right.....
Last weekend I went to Philadelphia for the first time.  It was a lot of fun, but sadly, I slept through my first cheesesteak excursion (I was napping in the car when daddy and mommy ate a cheesesteak!!!).  Oh well, there is always the next time.  We spent Saturday afternoon with Judge Davis and his wife, Sue, and their chocolate Lab, Luna.  I got along great with the Judge and Sue, but was a bit scared of Luna!  Then on Sunday, we had brunch with Carol and her son and Carol's granddaughter, another Olivia!  The other Olivia is 2 1/2 years old, so she was very advanced.  She was such a sweetheart and we got along fabulously!  Melissa went with us to Philly and back, and sadly it was her last time taking care of me!  She has moved to Boston and will be spending her time looking for a new non-nannying job.  Both her and I were very sad to say goodbye, but I tried to remain my cheerful self to keep her in good spirits!  Hopefully I will still get to see her on occasion, whenever I am in Boston visiting family!

I got really nervous next to Luna....even though she was very friendly....
In other news, I am continuing along with my amazing development!  My new favorite word is "bubbles" and I say it all the time.  It is the new "apple" which was my favorite word last week.  I still say "mah" a lot though, while pointing at things, but mommy and daddy still haven't figured out what that means.  Now I can also point to my nose when mommy or daddy asks me: "Olive, where is your nose?"  And I know animals by the sounds they make -- like, a cow is "moo" and horse is "neigh."  It is a lot of fun for everyone!!!
How is this for a close-up??

Olivia and Olivia!
I am very generous and like to share my snacks....even though in this picture I look like I am a little.....aggressive.
BFF??!!

I am thinking I may have a career in modeling for bottled water???
